Professor OP Kharbanda is the Chief of Centre for Dental Education and Research, Professor and Head, Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Deformities. He is also the Chief of KL Wig Centre for Medical Education and Technology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is renowned academician and visiting professor at Department of Orthodontics for University of Sydney, University of Western Australia, Australia. He is President of Indian Society for Dental Research/International Association of Dental Research-India Division. He is also the Director of WHO-CC on Oral Health Promotion and National Centre of Excellence for Implementation of National Oral Health Programme. 

His main research interests are 3D imaging and automation, 3D Printing, Cleft Palate Orthodontics, Functional Appliances and long term outcome, Non Extraction Treatment, Innovations in technology and dentistry.
