Manish TripathiPh.D Student
Manish completed his post-graduation from AIIMS, New Delhi (2018) and did his dissertation from Molecular Parasitology Lab under the guidance of Dr. Jaya Tyagi and Dr. Sumit Rathore on the subject ‘To identify the complex forming Plasmodium vivax Tryptophan-Rich Antigens’. He joined the lab as Ph.D. student in 2020. His research is focused on the characterization of parasite ligand- host receptor interaction in Plasmodium infection using proteomics-based approach, in-silico techniques and Plasmodium vivax culture.

Vaishali ThukralPh.D Student
Ms. Vaishali Thukral joined the lab in January 2021 and currently pursuing her PhD with main focus on "Characterization of iron uptake mechanisms in Plasmodium falciparum mitochondria". She completed her Master's degree from AIIMS, New Delhi with thesis focussed on investigating the effect of novel small molecule on cell surface toll like receptors induced cytokine expression in healthy PBMCs.

Sudarshana ChatterjeePh.D Student
Ms. Sudarshana Chatterjee joined the lab in October 2024 and is currently pursuing her PhD with main focus on "Characterization of Plasmodium vivax tryptophan rich antigens as prospective vaccine candidates". She completed her Master's degree from AIIMS, New Delhi with thesis focussed on “Identification of a specific aptamer for the detection of Plasmodium vivax malaria infection.”

Vaishali finished her post-graduation studies from University of Allahabad in 2023. She joined the lab in October 2024. Her primary emphasis for her Ph.D. is the “OMICS study of small Extracellular vesicles derived from Plasmodium infected patients and their role in disease progression”

Irshad bashir completed his bachelors in agriculture sciences from sher Kashmir University of agriculture sciences and technology.He is a 2nd year M.Sc (2024 - 2026) student pursuing his masters in Biotechnology from AlIMS, New Delhi. He joined the lab in June 2025 . His dissertation is focussed on "proteomic analysis of Extracellular vesicles from malaria pateints.
