Dr. Preety Rawal completed her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Her Ph.D. work was focused on the role of oncogenic HBx protein in the progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma. After her doctorate, she worked in BITS-Pilani as Research Associate (RA) on developing biosensor based on CRISPR/Cas12 technology (2023-2025). Recently, she joined the lab (August 2025) as DBT-RA fellow. Her project proposal is focused on "Modelling Alcohol-Induced Liver Injury Using Liver Organoids".
Ms. Prerna Rana, has completed my M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Department of Biotechnology, Kumaun University, Nainital. Her master's dissertation was focused on "TLC-Bioautography Directed Isolation of Antimicrobial And Antioxidant Active Fractions From Primula sikkimensis Hook." She has joined the lab as a PhD scholar in Nov 2025.
Ms. Beauty Das, has completed my M.Sc. in Biotechnology from M.B.Govt.P.G. College, Kumaun University, Nainital. Her master's dissertation was "Level of cortisol in paediatric cancer patients after chemotherapy". She has joined the lab as a PhD scholar in Nov 2025.
Ms. Reeva Garg, has completed her master’s in biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her dissertation work was focused on fluorescence-based characterization of M. smegmatis MksB hinge domain and she has joined the lab as a PhD scholar in the year 2025.
Ms. Dibyani Nanda, I have completed my masters in Biochemistry from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 2022. I have been working as Junior Research Fellow since 2024 in the project entitled “The protective role of Lactiplantibacillus pentosus in mitigating Alcoholic Liver Disease”
Mr. Prashant Shukla completed his Bachelor of Sciences in Biotechnology from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, and is currently pursuing M. Biotechnology (2024–2026) at AIIMS, New Delhi. He joined the lab in June 2025. His dissertation explores the role of omega-3 fatty acids in alcohol-associated liver disease.
Mr. Syed Mohammad Abbas completed his bachelors in Life sciences from Central University of Tamil Nadu and is currently pursuing M. Biotechnology (2024–2026) at AIIMS, New Delhi. He joined the lab in June 2025. His dissertation is focussed on "Investigating the Therapeutic Potential of Lactobacillus pentosus conditioned fermented Supernatant in Alcohol-associated Liver Disease”
