Dear colleagues, It is our pleasure to inform that we are organizing a National symposium on “Neural plasticity and repair” on 18th and Workshop on “Evaluation of plasticity in pain” on 19th October 2006, at Conference Hall, All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Experts including physiologists, anatomists, neurologists, neurobiologists, pharmacologists have been invited to deliver the lectures. The format of the meeting will include oral sessions consisting of invited lectures and parallel poster sessions. It hopes to stimulate discussions across the various fields of basic neuroscience to clinical outcomes, to further understand and support progress in brain research. The workshop includes demonstration of electrophysiological and biochemical techniques for evaluation of plasticity in pain. This has significance in predicting chronic pain. We invite you to attend the symposium cum workshop in large numbers and also share this information with your colleagues and students. We are looking forward to your active participation.
