Dear Friends,

Stroke is responsible for 5 million deaths each year, making cerebrovascular disease the second leading cause of death worldwide. The past dew decades have envisioned path-breaking discoveries, which have revolutionized our concepts of stroke pathogenesis, pathology, treatment, rehabilitation & prevention. Based on cogent twin pillars of good clinical practice and sound science we have entered a new era of stroke management. Past nihilism associated with stroke care is no longer tenable or acceptable.

A lot remains to be done in this field and the present conference is a sincere attempt in this direction. The prime objective of the symposium is to deliberate on critical issues concerning the understanding treatment & the future avenues in stroke management. These deliberations will then be formatted & published in a book on clinical practice guidelines for stroke in India.

The invited faculty from within and outside India consists of people who have set standards and achieved landmarks in the field of neurological sciences. The present meeting will provide the academicians and clinicians a platform for an interactive view on the recent advances in the field of cerebro vascular disorders. We invite you to Delhi for an academic feast to satiate your quest for knowledge in the field of cerebro vascular disorders.
