Scientific publications in National and International Journals

The Department has always been in the forefront in the areas of research and    academic activities. Taken together, since 1965, when the Department was still in its infancy, we have contributed more than 500 scientific publications in various national and international journals. This is probably the largest number of publications by any neurosurgical centre in India.

Publication of books

  1. The Text Book of Neurosurgery by B. Ramamurthi and P.N. Tandon: already 4 editions are printed over last 25 years.  This book has become synonymous with neurosurgery training.
  2. The Text Book of Head injury published over last 7 years and 3rd edition printed in 2005.
  3. Basic manual in the management of brain and spinal cord injury was published in 1996.
  4. Department published Monograph on Epilepsy and SAH, supported by ICMR, which was the culmination of multicentric study.
