The department is committed to increasing the awareness of the general public regarding various kidney diseases including their causes, prevention and available treatment modalities. Towards this end the department periodically conducts the following:

Hemodialysis Facility

 

The dialysis unit has 10 stations for hemodialysis and performs about 450 dialysis per month. The unit is functional round the clock every day.  Hemodialysis is provided to the following categories of patients:
 

·        Patients admitted in any department of the hospital needing dialysis during their in-hospital stay

·        Maintenance hemodialysis for patients registered in the living donor transplant programme as per waiting list

·        Patients with Acute / Acute on chronic kidney disease for stabilization.

  • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (in various ICUs of the hospital)
