Levels of trainees
Junior Residents – 3 year Postgarduate training program leading on to degree of MS General Surgery
- Entry by all India competitive examination
- Candidates from all over India
- Rotation in all surgical specialiies like Urology, Paediatric Surgery, CTVS, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, GI Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Emergency and Taruma Services.
- Examination at end of three years
- Extensive training programme
Senior Residents
a) MCh Breast, Endocrine and General Surgery
b) MCh Minimal Invasive and General Surgery
c) Non Mch (3 year’s Senior Residency)
Post Senior Residency Fellowship
- Bariatric Surgery (Eligibility – after completing 3 years of Senior Residency in General Surgery)
- Renal Transplant Surgery (Eligibility – after completing 3 years of Senior Residency in General Surgery or after completion of MCh Urology)
