Dr Rakesh Lodha is in-charge of the Pediatric Intensive Care services of the Department of Pediatrics. In addition, he is provides care to children with respiratory disorders, and those with infectious diseases including TB and HIV. Dr Lodha has multiple funded research grants in these areas and has published more than 325 articles in indexed journals. He has authored 8 books and more than 90 book chapters. He is on editorial board of 3 indexed journals. He has also been involved in various public health programs nationally and globally.

Dr Jhuma Sankar completed her post-graduation training in Pediatrics as well as fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care from PGIMER, Chandigarh. She is presently working as an Assistant Professor inthe Department of Pediatrics, AIIMS, New Delhi. Previously she worked as a Senior Research associate at AIIMS, New Delhi and as Assistant professor at JIPMER, Puducherry.
Her areas of research interest include sepsis and septic shock, myocarditis and mortality risk scoring systems in sick children. She is presently involved in a DST funded multicentre (AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry and PGIMER, Chandigarh) trial on “ Balanced salt solutions versus normal saline for initial resuscitation in pediatric septic shock” apart from several other ongoing studies on sepsis and septic shock. She has over 50 publications in reputed national and international journals. She has presented over 30 papers in national and international conferences and won “Best paper awards” on multiple occasions. Her research work has been well appreciated by international audience too.
As a key faculty of ‘Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses’, ‘Pediatric Basic Life Support Courses’ and National faculty in Pediatric Critical Care and Emergency conferences,she is involved in training of residents, practicing pediatricians, and junior faculty members of medical collegesand hospitals across the country.
