Overview and objectives
All India Institute of Medical Sciences is celebrating Golden Jubilee this year. There have been significant advances in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology over past 50 years with important contributions from our department in clinical care and research. Thus the department is organizing a workshop cum symposium on “Cutting Edge Technology in Reproductive Health Care”.
The four days programme will start on 10th afternoon with “’Orientation Training in Emergency Contraception’ for health care providers followed by inauguration of workshop and symposium. During the workshop on 11th August there will be live demonstration of several procedures in women depending on the participants choice. The symposium on 12th and 13th August will focus on Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Reproduction & Contraception, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Gynaecological Oncology. In the programme the topics of module 2 of National CME will be included for the benefit of postgraduates. We will also provide an overview of important research carried out in our department over last 5 decades.
Overall it will be an opportunity to practicing obstetricians & gynaecologists and postgraduates to update their knowledge & skills. There will also be a poster exhibition on ‘Technology for prevention of unintended pregnancy’ between 2-7 pm on all 4 days and a public lecture cum panel discussion on the same topic on 11th August after the workshop.
The experts in the respective fields are invited from all over the country and will be sharing their experience. We cordially invite everyone to attend this interesting and highly academic programme on “Cutting edge technology in reproductive health care”.
