CLINICAL GENETICS WORKSHOP

 

    From April 17-26, 2006

 Dear Friends,
 

We are organizing a 10 days Clinical Genetics Course as an  activity of a project funded by Department of Biotechnology  from April 17-26, 2006 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.  We would prefer to register about 10-15 clinicians from all disciplines (preferably Pediatrics and Obstetrics) interested in the field of medical genetics.  A tentative list of topics which we plan to cover is enclosed.  We plan to make the course targeted to the clinicians with lot of interactive sessions, case discussions, visits to speciality clinics and concerned laboratories.

 Please send this email for wider circulation. In case you are heading a department or unit please encourage your young faculty to participate. The applications must be submitted  to the undersigned by 8th April, 2006.  The application must include Curriculum Vitae, email, phone (mobile numbers if any), Fax number, complete address, applicant’s actual work area and institute. A letter of recommendation from the Supervisor-in-Charge and application forwarded by the Head of Department / Institute would be required if the application is accepted.  The registration fee for the course is Rs. 1000/-.  Participants from outside Delhi will have to arrange their own accommodation.

We will be allotting enough time for discussion after each session. Lectures will be scheduled in the pre lunch session and post lunch sessions will be devoted to visits to Speciality clinics case discussions and various laboratories.
