Application form for permission for animal experiments (IAEC)

 

All small & large animals of Rodents, Sheep and Monkey colony have been maintained by us in the Central Animal facility, AIIMS. 

The various activities of this unit are categorized as follows.

 

Small Animal (Rodents):

3.  Mice (Swiss)                                        

4.  Rabbits (New Zealand)                      

5.  Guinea Pigs (Dunkin Hartley)

Departmental Experimental Wing:

 

We are maintaining the departmental experimental wing of the rodents animals of the various departments of the Institute like Rats, Mice, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs      (Outbreed & Inbreed) .

Large Animal Facility (Sheep):                  

Two sheep, Department of Microbiology rehabilitated to Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, Raja Garden, New Delhi with the permission of Dr. Y.K. Gupta, Chairman, Institutional Animal Ethics Committee(IAEC) at the AIIMS according to the Norms & Guidelines of the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals(CPCSEA), Under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India on 3rd January, 2014 as per need of the Prof. & Head, Department of Microbiology after receiving a letter, which were kept in our Central Animal Facility under his supervision for the diagnostic purpose of the Microbiology Department.
