Mr. K.P. Singh joined as the Chief Librarian in Dr. B.B. Dikshit Library, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi on December 5, 2008. He is a highly qualified professional with M.Sc. in Zoology from Meerut University and Masters in Library Science from University of Delhi. Prior to his present assignment, Mr. K.P. Singh has worked as the Senior Scientist, Head, Knowledge Centre (DESDOC), Ministry of Defence, DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi from February, 1996 to December, 2008. He has also worked as the Documentation Assistant in National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi from February, 1993 to February, 1996.

Mr. Singh has more than 18 research articles to his credit that were published in research journals and as chapters in books and conference proceedings. Mr. Singh has organized several workshops and training programmes at DESIDOC, New Delhi. He has presented research papers in several national symposia in India.

His current research interests includes consortia-based subscription to e-resources, digital libraries, digitization of old and fragile documents and their storage, database-driven Web interfaces and Web-based library services, Web-based learning and education, scientometric analysis, etc.
