INFORMATION FOR THE CANDIDATES

 

1.                  The All India Institute of Medical Sciences is an autonomous body established under an Act of Parliament.   

  

2.                    Service under the Institute is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

 

3.                    Three sets of applications and twelve sets of brief bio-data completed in all respects (along-with its enclosures) are required to be submitted on the enclosed specimen of the prescribed forms for the post(s).  Separate application should be submitted for separate post along-with the prescribed application fee for each post.   A consolidated application for more than one post will not be considered.

 

4.                    The discipline/subject for which the application is being submitted needs to be indicated clearly.

 

5.                    Bank Draft for a sum of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) in the case of General category and Other Backward Community candidates and Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates in favour of the Director, AIIMS payable at New Delhi, must accompany the application for the post/each post.  Application received without prescribed fee will be summarily rejected.  Fees once remitted shall not be refunded.

 

6.                  Attested true copies of the certificates of Educational Qualifications and testimonials showing experience, etc. should be attached with all the three copies of the applications.

 

7.                  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

8.                  The employees of the Institute will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

 

9.                    The period of probation is two years.

 

10.                Employees of Government or Semi-Government Department Organization should apply THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL.  If they anticipate delay in routing their applications through proper channel, they may submit advance copies in time.

                                                                                                                                                                                                            

11.                Applications not received through proper channel will not be considered.

 

12.                The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

 

13.                Applications received after the deadline for submission of applications, will not be considered.

 

14.                The Institute (AIIMS) will not defray the traveling and other expenses to the candidates summoned for interview.  The Institute will however, contribute towards these expenses in respect of candidates who pay the prescribed application fee and are summoned to appear for a personal interview before the Standing Selection Committee of the Institute at a rate corresponding to the amount of single 2nd class Passenger Railway fare or the actual expenditure incurred towards fare, whichever is less, by the shortest route to the place of interview from the Railway Station nearest to the candidates normal place of residence or from which he/she actually performs the journey whichever is nearer to the place of interview and back to the same station  provided the distance traveled each way exceeds 80 kilometers.  Candidates called for interview and coming from outside India will be paid equivalent to sleeper class Rail fare in respect of   journey performed within the territory of Republic of India only.

 

15.                Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
