Outpatient Services
Information for patients Ř The outpatient clinic of the centre functions from Monday to Friday. Ř Both, new as well as old patients are seen in the outpatient department. Ř The OPD registration timings are from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Ř No referral from anywhere is required. The patients are expected to get registered at the registration counter and wait for their turn in the waiting area. Ř The registration fee for new patients is Rs. 10/- only (valid for the duration of one year). There is no fee for subsequent (follow-up) visits.

Speciality Clinics Recently the centre has introduced three specialty clinics. These are (i) Tobacco Use Cessation, (ii) Adolescent Drug Use Clinic (iii) Dual Diagnosis Clinic (Substance Use Disorder and Psychiatric Illness)
Tobacco Cessation Clinic (TCC) (Faculty in-charge: Dr. S. Jhanjee) Tobacco
is a powerfully addictive drug and is a major preventable cause of Adolescent Drug Use Clinic (Faculty in-charge: Dr. Anju Dhawan) A growing number of adolescents are falling prey to substance use. Since this group of population has special treatment needs the centre offers a specialty clinic the Adolescent Drug Use Clinic, every Tuesday at 9:00 AM in the OPD.
Dual Diagnosis Clinic (Faculty in-charge: Dr. N. Kaw) Many people who are dependent on psychoactive drugs suffer simultaneously from mental (psychiatric) disorders. “Dual Diagnosis” is the term commonly used to describe this group of patients. Since this group has special needs for treatment, a specialty clinic is functional to cater to this group of patients, every Saturday at 9:00 AM at NDDTC OPD
