As Faculty of AIIMS he is actively involved in teaching UG, PG, B.Sc. & PhD students, patient care and research. His work has been extensively published in premier peer reviewed international and national journals. He has contributed many chapters in ophthalmic book. He has been attending international and national conferences. Has been invited to chair the various sessions and given live surgical demonstration in many conferences.

He has organized three International Conferences including ORBIS International in New Delhi in 1999.

He delivered first late Dr. B D Joshi oration on ‘Therapeutic Contact Lenses’, awarded by Vidarbha Ophthalmic Society, June 1999

He has been advisor to–UPSC.  He has been honoured as External Examiner for MBBS, MS (Ophthalmology), DOMS, Diploma & B.Sc. Ophthalmic Techniques by various Universities.

He is currently the Chief Editor of DOS TIMES: Monthly bulletin for Delhi Ophthalmological Society and Secretary and Scientific Program coordinator of Delhi Ophthalmological Society.

He has been actively involved in Community services, has done numerous free comprehensive Eye Care camps in various parts of the country. He has performed first IOL camp at Rewari (Haryana) and has been member of special Eye Camps in Andaman and Nicobar in 1992, Mega Eye Camp Orissa Oct.1998 and Shillong (Meghalya) Sept. 2003. He was member faculty of training to trainer program of Ministry of health and family welfare Govt. of India. Trivendram (Kerala) Sept. 2001
