Welcome to Autonomic Function Lab Website

Welcome to the official Web Page of the Autonomic Function Lab. Our Lab plays a central role in Autonomic Function Testing at AIIMS and collaborates with several Departments in many of its programs. It forms the main hub for clinical physiological research in AIIMS. The lab was set up in 1989, initially to pursue research on patients of cerebellar ataxia. Since autonomic functions are deranged in several medical disorders, soon its popularity grew for both diagnostic help and for collaborative research. We have trained over 40 students including 5 WHO fellows, from neighboring countries.

Several Postgraduate students from clinical disciplines have carried out their research work (thesis work) in our lab. The disciplines include Ophthalmology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Medicine, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry and Endocrinology. Currently PGs from several departments are pursuing their research work in our lab.

This website is intended to provide you the information in a nutshell about the facilities available and the test procedures and research activities carried out in the Autonomic Function Lab.

Wish you a happy browsing
