The department of Forensic Medicine is engaged in multifarious activities. It is involved in teaching, research, training, medico-legal postmortems, casualty work, toxicology laboratory work, Clinical Forensic Medicine Services & court related work. Department is getting referred cases from court , NHRC, CBI, crime branch, Delhi Police and investigating agencies from other states. The department is running toxicology laboratory and it is in the process if setting up a DNA Finger printing laboratory.
