Department is actively engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching .There are eight postgraduates(MD) students and two Ph.D students in the department.

i)Conferences/Seminars/Workshops Organised by Department

All over the world there is increasing concern about environmental degradation.Widespread and discriminate use of chemicals, is producing a disastrous effect on the environment. Use of biological weapons has added a new dimension to the challenges facing mankind. Thus in view of the above, the Third International Conference of Indian Congress of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology was orgnised by the department in 2002 to promote Medical Toxicology and advocate the provision of better infrastructural facilities for Forensic Medicine speciality. The first "Prof. Jagdish Chandra Memorial Oration" was delivered in the conference on `Biological warfare & Medical Profession'. The conference was attended by about 150 delegates.


i) A workshop was organized by the Deptt. on topic." CME workshop for teachers on introduction of OSCE & OSPE in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology".

ii) The Department has been actively engaged in enhancing the level of training in all aspects of the subject with particular emphasis on practical work oriented training. The faculty of department delivered about 25 lectures in continuing medical education programme . Training programmes were organised for CBI, Delhi Police, medical officers and Forensic science experts etc. from all over country .
