Research Interest in emerging New Paradigm

Dr. A. K. Mukhopadhyay is a theoretical scientist and works with Ideas. His Research interest is in finding out the link between ‘local’ science and ‘non local’ science. The fields of interest are as follows:

1.

Integral approach in Developing a Science for Consciousness (browse through website on consciousness: http://www.akmukhopadhyayconsciousness.com

2.

Supracortical Consciousness; The evolutionary first step taken by brain-bound consciousness to make sense of brain-independent consciousness. Mechanism of Supracortico-cortical and Cortico-supracortical communication.

3.

Integral divisions of the Indivisible Whole: Experience, Purpose, Time, Space, Matter.
`Life’ as an integral of Life-principle working within a specific form (space, time) of matter elevated to the level of ‘living state’. Triple Helix of Life, Information and Mind

4.

How the Mechanics of Consciousness could be connected with the mechanics of matter and energy (quantum and classical mechanics) through the mechanics of Elemental plane and the Mechanics of Mother Nature.

5.

Nested hierarchy in organization of Nature: The hierarchy of uncertainty. Pentaune Model of Nature-Consciousness.

6.

Five components of a composite model of psyche; Consciousness, self, Private facet of self, Mind and Information. Psychic Skeleton and the Pathogenetic mechanism of psychosomatic disease.

7.

The phase transition through `Death’; Near-death experience, transcendental death experience, transformational death experience and the experience of getting re-born in the same body. Correlation of experiential with neuro-phenomenology

8.

Interrelationship between Brain and consciousness, Gene and Information, Information and Consciousness, memes and information, self and information.

9.

Transition of Homo sapiens to Homo spiritualis. Its scientific basis.

10.

The Science of Information.

Dr. Mukhopadhyay holds a radical view on information which he considers is an ‘entity’ in phase beyond the Planck’s scale. Areas of special interest are:

i.         Relation of Information with space time and energy. The role of mind or mind-like structure  and process in nature in the information-split phenomenon.

ii.          Information Mechanics

iii.         Information Geometry

iv.        Ontological category of Information

v.        The Point where the Mind, World and Infinity meet

Information-split phenomenon:

Information-split as a process is involved in creation of space time in one hand, and opens up hitherto unexplored resource of information-based energy on the other hand. He proposes that information-based energy is pollution-free, inexpensive and exhaustible. It leads us to the dawn of a new energy revolution. Information-split process also explains the psycho-somatic connection.

On these ideas, he has authored four Books (Link) that have been reviewed extensively in India and abroad (link).
